This is the photoshoot I did for a friend couple’s first year wedding anniversary, back in November.
At the time I had just finished taking some pre-wedding photos for another friend couple, so I was itching to do something different from the run-of-the-mill “sweet” look. The words that were forming in my head were “funky”, “torn jeans”, “high heel boots”, and the sort. Not only were Yeng Kwang and Hui Ting open to the idea, they were ready to take it even further than what I had in mind! We wrapped everything up within a day with much fun!
Here are some of the photos. I hope you don’t mind the silliness — we dug up fashion and perfume advertisements for inspiration, as I’m sure you can tell.

In real life Yeng Kwang and Hui Ting are nothing like the vibe they give off in the photos above! Here are some of the other photos we took on the day to “balance up” the “wild” theme:

I can remember the very first time when Hui Ting approached me about taking some photos for their first year wedding anniversary, more than seven months ago now, in a restaurant when we were having dinner together. I must truly thank them for trusting me and giving me this opportunity.
Here are some “behind-the-scenes” shots to finish with:

Experimenting with different clothing styles the night before -- probably the most exciting part!

Yeng Kwang's sister Jia Yin was the make-up artist.

Tell me what you think!
wow….. good stuff.
Whow! This looks very good!
Thanks Joseph for capturing all these moments. Allowing the wonderful memory of our 1st anniversary to be captured.
I say, you should be a part-time doctor, full time photographer.
I don’t mind being part-time doctor, but I’m not so sure about being full-time photographer!
Nice work Joseph! I love the behind-the-scenes shots especially the last one. Can feel the sparkle between them.
And welcome back to your own blog! :)
Hi Grace, thanks for reading and leaving a comment! Yup, back to my own blog.
I actually like the behind-the-scenes shots a lot too, in fact probably even more than the actual ones — I find them more natural and memorable, although there can’t be “behind-the-scenes” without the actual “scenes” I guess.
Prague must be amazing. Hope you’re enjoying your trip
how do i comment on your homepage picture. Bro you’ve got a cool artwork/design there hahahaa.
And yeah i like the behind-the-scenes shots too! They look more natural
